Earlier this week, it was announced that country superstar Lainey Wilson would not perform at the Jackson County Fair in Maquoketa, Iowa. Wilson tweeted to fans that she could not fulfill her commitment due to an unspecified family emergency. But, as disappointing as that may be to her fans, another performer is ready to step into the spotlight.

Despite Wilson's withdrawal, country star Cole Swindell is scheduled to perform Saturday night and will be joined by rising star Ashley Cooke.

You may be asking, who is Ashley Cooke? According to her website, she is an up-and-coming country artist bringing authentic and honest storytelling to her music.

Additionally, the website says she developed her love of country music via Rascal Flatts, Jason Aldean, and Florida Georgia Line. Cooke also won the Belmont University Country Showcase. So perhaps this is a rare opportunity to catch a rising star on the cusp of something big.

Ashley Cooke has also recorded a sweet love song with country crooner Brett Young. Their studio-produced duet has garnered more than 2.3 million views on Youtube. Fans were complimentary, with one gushing, "Ashley Cooke is so beautiful and talented. Brett Young's voice gave me chill bumps! A beautiful song by two very talented artists."

Although it lacks many views, the audio to another Cooke song, Already Drank that Beer can be heard on Cooke's Youtube Channel. "Such a beautiful voice with amazing emotion in this song," commented one fan.

Another song, Jealous of the Sky, has garnered more than 100k Youtube views.

How well Ashley's music will translate before a live audience at the Jackson County Fair will be revealed Saturday Night. Don't miss your opportunity to say 'I saw her when!'
