Venture Into the Wild with Girl Scouts 

The Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois are partnering with Dubuque County Conservation, Dubuque County Hunter Safety Instructors, and Iowa DNR Conservation Officers to teach area girls outdoor survival skills. Dubuque Police Department ‘Shop with a Cop’ Program Donations

Donations are being accepted through August to support the annual Dubuque Police Department ‘Shop with a Cop’ program which purchases back-to-school clothing and supplies for area children. Donors can make checks out to Dubuque Police Protective Association and can be delivered to the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center at 770 Iowa Street. Caregiver Support Group for Caregivers of Dementia Patients/Family Members

24-Hour Care and Oak Park Place host a Caregiver Support group for caregivers taking care of Dementia Patients/family members conducted by trained facilitators. Join them virtually the last Friday of each month at 1:00pm. Contact Sara Kirkpatrick or Nicole Karberg for log in information.

The annual Spring Clean-up will begin on Monday April 19 and run through Friday April 23, 2021. Please remove all items and decorations you wish to save no later than Sunday April 18, 2021. All items not removed will be discarded. Cemetery Management requests that no decorations or plantings be placed on grave sites until Saturday, April 24th, 2021. Check Cemetery Regulations before placing decorations to avoid losing items that do not conform

The University of Dubuque presents a Live stream performance of Landscape of Guitar: An Animated Painting Concert Experience. Livestream at 7:30pm for $15 which allows “on demand” viewing for 48 hours following the scheduled presentation.  A gallery exhibit of related artwork will be displayed in conjunction with this event. The Holy Cross Fire Department is hosting a Drive thru Breakfast at the LaSalle Gym in Holy Cross from 8am till Noon. The  price $10 with proceeds going towards the replacement of their 20 year old ambulance unit. (Menu Includes Pork Sausage (Fresh and Smoked) Fried Potatoes, Eggs, Cinnamon Roll and Milk or Juice.)

The Carnegie-Stout Pubic Library is partnering with the Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency to offer a virtual tour of the Dubuque landfill at 6:30pm. Learn how trash is processed and the many services offered at the landfill. This free virtual Zoom event is open to all ages, but registration is required. A Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for Brooke Ingles will be held from 2pm-6pm at the Joliet Event Center 781 Locust St. Brooke and the McNulty Irish Dancers have been asked to dance in Ireland and Funds raised will go towards Trip expenses.
