Dubuque Police are looking for the public's help with their investigation of Saturday's fatal shooting around 7pm Saturday, June 4th.

The initial investigation revealed that 30-year-old Keywani Evans, of Freeport, IL shot and killed 20-year-old Taiwon Jackson, of Dubuque, following a confrontation outside 1913 Central Avenue.
Evans fled the scene on foot heading west from the 1900 block of Central Avenue.

Evans was taken into custody just after 7:30 am on Sunday, June 5th behind Goodwill at 2121 Holliday Dr. in Dubuque
Residents and businesses in the highlighted area are asked to check their surveillance camera footage from Saturday, June 4 at 6:58 p.m. through Sunday, June 5 at 7:36 a.m. Evans is believed to have traveled through the highlighted area on foot after the murder and may have discarded evidence, possibly a firearm.

Evans is described as a black male, 6’1”, 210 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, a white and red striped shirt and tennis shoes.
