Iowa Is Finally Getting a Shake Shack, But You’ll Have to Wait

Craving a burger and a shake? One of the nation's most popular burger chains has announced they are finally coming to Iowa!

Shake Shack Announces First Iowa Location

The wait is almost over. Iowa is getting its first Shake Shack! The Des Moines Register reports that the burger chain announced that it will finally open a restaurant in Iowa. That's the good news. The bad news? It won't open until 2028. Sorry. But just look at these 100% Angus burgers! It's going to be worth the wait!

Where Will Iowa's First Shake Shack Be Located?

The Register reports that Iowa's first Shake Shack will be in Western Iowa. The restaurant will be located inside the new Hollywood Casino and Hotel in Council Bluffs. Construction on the huge hotel began in September. The 135,000-square-foot, two-story casino has a price tag of nearly $200 million. Shake Shack will be one of two new restaurants inside the casino.

What Makes Shake Shack So Popular?

The Register reports that people love Shake Shack for its culture and quality food. The beef is 100% Angus and hormone- and antibiotic-free. Burgers are made to order, and the company believes in prioritizing employees, believing that happy teams create happy customers! There are currently over 700 Shake Shack locations, according to the Register. Not bad for a restaurant that started as a hot dog cart in New York City in 2001!

The closest Shake Shack locations right now are in Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin.
