Anyone following the current season of Arrow can tell you that Oliver and Felicity have had their ups and downs, while a recent photo from producer Marc Guggenheim swung decidedly up for the couple. Now, the latest synopsis for March 23 return “Broken Hearts” may finally explain that mysterious wedding photo, teasing an ominous end along the way.

You’re warned of some minor Arrow spoilers from here on out, but fandom did a double take when Guggenheim shared the below photo of an upright Felicity seemingly getting married to Oliver, despite a flash-forward that seemed to nullify their engagement altogether. The most recent “Taken” outing cemented as much, undoing Felicity’s paralysis and ending her engagement to Oliver over the decision to keep his son secret, though Guggneheim doubled-down that the wedding photo wasn’t any kind of deception:

And now, thanks to The CW’s March 23 synopsis for “Broken Hearts,” it seems the return of Amy Gumenick’s Cupid may help fill in the blanks:

CUPID RETURNS TO WREAK HAVOC ON STAR CITY

A heartbroken Cupid (guest star Amy Gumenick) returns to Star City with one goal to destroy anyone in love. The team learns she’s killing couples on their wedding day so Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) decide to pose as bait.

As you’ll recall, Cupid started to fall for Michael Rowe’s Deadshot back in Season 3’s “Suicidal Tendencies,” around the time Arrow’s Suicide Squad personnel mysteriously started dying out in advance of David Ayer’s upcoming film. Cupid isn’t part of that team in the film (though she arguably stands in for Harley Quinn, or “Deranged Squad Female,” as Arrow would say), but watch your back, girl.

In any case, Arrow will return on March 23, promos for which you can find below. Will Oliver and Felicity still manage to end the season together? Are we ever going to find out who’s in that darn grave?
