If you haven't purchased your tickets yet, you're still in luck because I'll give listeners a chance to win pairs of tickets starting Thursday on the Good Morning Rodeo. Listen and call in at 7:10 am for a chance to win with the Rodeo Really Tough Trivia Question. I have five pairs of tickets to give away. Be caller #5 with the correct answer, and you'll win Brewfest passes. Hot Diggity, that's a prize package close to $100 in value!

Giving tickets and prizes away to listeners is one of the highlights of my day, especially when the giveaway is to something as fun as Potosi Brewfest. Over 60 vendors will be there, including craft breweries, distilleries, wineries, and specialty foods from meat and cheese companies. Does it get much better than that?

With games, contests, live music, and more, it will make for another memorable event and fundraiser for the Potosi Foundation.

Great beer aside, this charitable aspect is a big reason the Potosi Brewery's revival has succeeded. The original Potosi Brewery building was generously donated by its owners to the Potosi Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Following a long restoration process, the foundation reopened the brewery in 2008. Its impact and legacy have been felt since generating economic activity in and around Potosi.

Your event ticket also includes a tour of the National Brewery Museum, which is part of the Potosi Brewery building. So plan to spend Saturday afternoon and indulge in all that Potosi Brewfest offers.

Dubuque's Riverview Park Provides Spectacular Views & Affordable Camping

Life along the Mississippi River remains as Twain described it 139 years ago. While the river and the towns lining its bank may be tamer today than in Twain's time, there remains a calming allure to resting on the riverbank and watching it flow.

Dubuque's City-owned and operated 20-acre Miller Riverview Park and Campground is one of the best places to relax and enjoy the mighty Mississippi.
