‘True Blood’ Series Finale Spoilers: Will “Thank You” Be Bill’s Untimely End?
Few would argue that HBO's 'True Blood' has been limping to the finish with its final season, but the last bit of blood will finally drop on August 24 with series finale installment "Thank You." To wit, HBO has released their spoilery synopsis for the finale, along with a brand new look at this Sunday's penultimate installment, "Love is to Die."
You're warned of spoilers for the most recent episodes and the final season at large, but where this past Sunday's 'True Blood' episode "Almost Home" saw Bill (Stephen Moyer) somewhat bafflingly declining to feed off Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp), and thus cure his Hep-V sickness, the disease won't claim him just yet. HBO's synopsis for the August 24 series finale reveals Bill still alive for the moment, along with some unexpected turns of fate for Sam and Andy:
Episode #80: “Thank You” (series finale)
Sookie (Anna Paquin) weighs a future with and without Bill (Stephen Moyer). Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) and Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) struggle with their uncomfortable partnership with Mr. Gus (Will Yun Lee). Sam (Sam Trammell) makes a choice, while Andy (Chris Bauer) comes upon an unexpected inheritance.
Written by Brian Buckner; directed by Scott Winant.
Elsewhere, the network has also revealed a first look at this coming Sunday's installment, "Love is to Die," as Arlene attempts to counsel Sookie over her mixed feelings for Bill's big decision. I don't suppose Sookie plans to mention that mysterious cure that could enable Arlene to finally get together with her new vampire boytoy Keith, right?
We're as curious as anyone to see how 'True Blood' ultimately ends, but what say you? Will the August 24 finale prove good to the last drop? Give us your series finale predictions in the comments!
