Holiday lights look great on your house, garage and in your yard.  But they don't look so good when they fill up the landfill.  Did you know there is a way to recycle and properly dispose of you holiday lights. The City of Dubuque Public Works Department and the Dubuque Metropolitan Solid Waste Agency have partnered again this year to offer a drop off location for residents to recycle  unwanted holiday lights.Unwanted holiday lights can be dropped off in marked containers outside the City of Dubuque Municipal Services Center at 925 Kerper Court from November 1 through January 15. Unwanted holiday lights and all electronics can be recycled year-round at the Landfill. At this time, appointments are required for electronics brought to the landfill.  To schedule an appointment for dropping off electronics and holiday lights at the landfill, visit www.dmaswa/.org.
