Brie Larson Hugs Sexual Assault Victims After Lady Gaga’s Performance at 2016 Oscars

Based on the few reaction shots we saw during the telecast this evening, Lady Gaga's powerful rendition of her Oscar-nominated Hunting Ground theme song "Til It Happens To You" moved plenty of attendees at the 88th annual Academy Awards to tears.
What we didn't see, however, was Brie Larson, who picked up her first Oscar tonight for Best Actress, standing up from her seat to warmly embrace each individual survivor of sexual abuse who participated in Gaga's performance immediately after they left the stage.
The Hollywood Reporter writer Chris Gardner posted a clip from the audience of what went down on Facebook.
"Following Lady Gaga's powerful performance of "Til It Happens to You," best actress winner Brie Larson gets up and hugs each and every sexual assault survivor (she won an Oscar for playing a kidnap survivor who was repeatedly raped for years in "Room"). It's a beautiful scene from where I'm sitting. #Oscars," he wrote.
It was a truly touching move by the actress and, beyond that, a heartwarming show of compassion and kindness toward these individuals — even when the cameras weren't rolling.
