‘American Horror Story’ Season 4 Adds Wes Bentley to the ‘Freak Show’
'American Horror Story,' meet 'American Beauty.' Where yesterday we learned that FX's Ryan Murphy horror serial would make its first Comic-Con appearance in the coming week, season 4's 'Freak Show' setting has added a dash of new blood in 'The Hunger Games' actor Wes Bentley, but who might he end up tormenting among the cast?
Via TVLine, Bentley will join the 'American Horror Story: Freak Show' guest roster for the two-part Halloween episode (October 21 and 28) in the role of Eddie, a "dark tormentor" from the past of Kathy Bates’ character, who resurfaces hell-bent on taking his revenge. Worth noting is that Bentley still remains attached to Ryan Murphy's proposed HBO sexuality drama 'Open,' which has yet to garner a pickup, but apparently remains a possibility.
Set in 1950 Jupiter, Florida, the new ‘Freak Show’ season will see franchise veteran Jessica Lange as a German ex-patriot running one of the last American freak shows, a cast of rescued “unusuals” that also includes ‘Coven‘ and franchise stars Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Denis O’Hare, Evan Peters, and Frances Conroy. 'The Shield' star Michael Chiklis will portray a strongman husband to Bassett's character, while when last we heard, ‘Coven’ newcomer (and Peters’ real-life girlfriend) Emma Roberts was reportedly in talks to return.
We'll learn more about the 'Freak Show' from Comic-Con 2014's 'Coven' panel, but what say you? Does season 4 of 'American Horror Story' look to be the scariest yet?
