Police: Dubuque School Threat Response
The Dubuque Police Department this afternoon reported, at approximately 8:30 a.m. today (December 17) a Washington Middle School student immediately notified school staff after viewing a social media message posted by another student which included a threat to bring a weapon to school.
School Resource Officers and Washington Middle School staff promptly located the student who posted the message and determined no weapon was brought onto school property. The student, a 12-year-old male, was charged with Threat of Terrorism and sent to Juvenile Detention.
