Most baseball fans will agree that the MLB season is long and, if your favorite team is awful, can be flat out arduous to follow on a daily basis.

Yet, if your team is good enough to make the postseason, playoff baseball is compelling and thrilling!

For Cubs fans, the former has been a reoccurring theme since the 2008 season; when the Cubs last made the postseason only to be eliminated in the divisional series against Manny Ramirez and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

This time around, the Cubs will need to win their Wild Card game in Pittsburgh tomorrow night to advance to a five-game series with their rivals, the St. Louis Cardinals, waiting for the winner.

How much more compelling is THAT?!

As a Twins fan, I'm rooting for the Cubs to do something they haven't done since 1908. We all know what that is.
