Platteville Main Street has announced the lineup for this summer's "Music in the Park" concert series. The concerts will be held Thursdays in Platteville City Park from 6 to 8 pm.

As always, the concerts are free of charge.

This summer’s schedule is as follows:

June 2: Wundo Band
June 9: Sarah Day with Chase Pebworth
June 16: Panchromatic Steel
June 23: Frank Busch and The Names
June 30: Harmonious Wail

July 7: The Dang-Its
July 14: City Band
July 21: Ken Kilian's Classic Big Band
July 28: Adam Bartels

August 4: Gary Beal Band
August 11: Dr. Duo
August 18: Ensemble Nouveau

The scheduled rain date is August 23rd.

Funding for the event is provided in part by the City of Platteville, along with a handful of sponsors including Blue Note Music, Pioneer Ford, Badger Brothers, WI Realty, Rosemeyer Jones Chiropractic, Los Amigos, Southwest Health, and UW-Platteville Summer Arts Festival to name a few.

Concert attendees are encouraged to bring lawn-chairs and blankets to ensure comfortable conditions. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. People and kids of all ages are welcome.

Each year, hundreds gather in the park to enjoy the beautiful weather, a variety of entertaining acts, friends, and in a larger sense, the community itself. Platteville's long-running "Music in the Park" does wonders in creating a vibrant atmosphere that people of all ages can embrace.
