Mobile Museum Will be Part of Dubuque Farmer’s Market Saturday August 20th

The Dubuque Farmer's Market is always a treat each Saturday morning in downtown Dubuque.  Whether it's fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, delicious breakfast or knick-knacks for work and home, the Farmer's Market has something for everyone.

And on Saturday, August 20th,  history buffs have a reason to stop by too. The Carnegie-Stout Public Library and Dubuque Farmers’ Market have partnered to bring the State Historical Society of Iowa’s mobile museum to Dubuque. The 300 square foot museum is housed in a custom-built, Iowa-made Winnebago that will be parked at the Dubuque Farmers’ Market on Saturday, August 20, from 7 a.m.-Noon. The mobile museum is free and open to the public.

The exhibit, “Iowa History 101: People and Places,” displays artifacts from the State Historical Society of Iowa that cover 13,000 years of Iowa’s remarkable history. Visitors will experience stories from the earliest people to call this state home to today and learn more about Iowa's unique people and places.
