There Was A Jeremy Allen White Lookalike Contest In Chicago & It Was As Funny As You’d Expect
Gobs of fans of FX's award-winning The Bear gathered in Chicago's Humboldt Park on Saturday for a hilarious reason: a Jeremy Allen White lookalike contest.
There were tons of people there, including dozens of guys dressed in white tees and blue aprons, just like the now iconic Carmy Berzatto, the oft-conflicted culinary genius Jeremy Allen White plays on the Bear.
Double Takes Everywhere
Contestants who gathered for their chance to win, showed up with Carmy's signature hair, stare and smokes.
Based on TikTok videos, Humboldt Park was buzzing with show fans who were hanging out with their favorite Carmy impersonators.
Flyers started floating around the city last week stating that the Jeremy Allen White lookalike competition was open to anyone who wanted to impersonate the famed Berzatto.
And the Winner Is...
After nearly 60 different competitors showed up, including a super cute "toddler Jeremy Allen White," one absolutely "separated at birth," Carmy was named the winner.
What did the winner scoop up as the top prize? $50 and a pack of cigarettes. It's the kind of jackpot Carmine Berzatto would approve of.
Community Spirit
Unlike the Timothee Chalamet lookalike contest, in which the real Chalamet actually showed up (and lost, by the way), there were no real Jeremy Allen White sightings at the contest.
Regardless, if you've been to the city before, you know Chicago knows how to throw a fun and light-hearted celebration like this.
Keep an eye out; who knows, there might be a Cousin Richie or Fak lookalike contest coming soon.
