7 Things Minnesota Kids Should Do Right Now To Get a Snow Day
If your kids want a snow day, now is the time to make it happen if you live in Minnesota, Iowa, or Wisconsin. Mother Nature has decided to dump an epic pile of snow in various locations and from the looks of the latest forecast, Friday is a really good day to wish for a day off of school.

You know that there are special Snow Day magic tricks, right?! It's true! And the more kids that believe and try these tricks at the same time, the better chance of having a snow day.
7 Things Minnesota Kids Should Do Right Now To Guarantee a Snow Day
My kid is pretty convinced that school is going to get canceled on Friday. I reminded him that if he is truly wanting a snow day, he needs to go through all of the things that help make that wintery magic happen in the sky.
Gather up your kids and go through the list below because the more kids that do the list below, the better the chance that school will be called off and we all get a snow day!
- Brush your teeth with "special" snow day water
- Step One: grab some snow from outside.
- Step Two: melt the snow on the stove until it becomes water.
- Step Three: Use only that water to brush your teeth before you go to bed.
- Wear your pj's inside out.
- Step One: Find your favorite flannel pj's.
- Step Two: Turn your pj's inside out.
- Step Three: Put those on before you go to bed.
- Eat Ice Cream before bed.
- Step One: Find ice cream with some sort of moose, fish, bear or lake reference at the store.
- Step Two: Eat that specific ice cream just before you go to bed.
- Only sleep on flannel sheets.
- Step One: If you don't already have flannel sheets on your bed, find them.
- Step Two: Get all cuddled up and go to sleep...but only on flannel sheets.
- The "snow day" pledge.
- Step One: Practice saying the "snow day" pledge (this is from Jammy Fallon's snowball song).
- Snow Day Pledge: Snow Day, school is closed and I can't wait. Go outside and I might get into a snowball fight!
- Step Two: Go outside and recite the Snow Day Pledge. If you can't say it in 30 seconds, you need to try again.

- Step One: Get in the car (If you are a kid and can't drive yet, ask your parents really nicely if they will take you).
- Step Two: Get milk, eggs, bread, and refrigerated cookie dough (you always have to make cookies on snow days!).
