The Replacement for Dubuque’s DaaBin Store Has Been Revealed

Just a couple of weeks after DaaBin Store announced it would be closing its doors, a new establishment will soon be occupying the space and boasting a similar concept.

There was palpable excitement when DaaBIN Store opened its doors on Dodge Street on Dubuque's West End. The business model was unlike anything in the area, where the cost to enter the store was different depending on the day you visited, and it was about what items you could find in one of their containers on any day. This past weekend, DaaBIN Store announced it would be closing, effective immediately.

What is Taking Over DaaBin Store in Dubuque?:

As reported by Telegraph Herald, Tub'z Of Fun will be taking over the shuttered DaaBin Store at 4470 Dodge Street. The store will be co-owned by husband-and-wife Jerramy Vasquez and Kristina Smith, who plan to bring a similar concept to the establishment along with some new additions.

The couple told the Telegraph Herald that they more-or-less "jumped on" the opportunity to overtake the space upon seeing the deluge of Facebook comments from people expressing sadness over the fact that DaaBin Store would be no more. While Tub'z Of Fun will offer similar items, such as clothing, electronics, toys, and children's items, they will also have an "opening station" where customers can see what's inside the package before purchasing. There will also be mixing boxes from Amazon in stock.

The couple also plan to host giveaways as well as activities in the parking lot, such as customer appreciation events and movie nights for children. Renovation of the space is ongoing with the tentative goal to be open in the middle of October.
