Just a couple weeks ago, it was revealed that Des Moines, IA would be the subject of a new limited edition Monopoly game. Now, a Chicagoland suburb that is consistently ranked amongst the best places to live in the entire country is getting its own board game too.

In 2026, Hasbro and the toy company Top Trumps USA will debut a new Monopoly: Naperville Edition, per NBC 5 Chicago and multiple other sources. Right now, Top Trumps is in the process of gathering fan votes and submissions for local hotspots to be featured in the game. Perhaps my alma mater North Central College will make the list!

About Monopoly: Naperville Edition:

Top Trumps representative Lindsay Wallace commented on the upcoming Naperville edition of the popular board game in a news release:

Naperville holds a unique blend of small-town charm, big-city amenities, and a community that’s really proud of its roots. With MONOPOLY: Naperville Edition, we want the board to feel like a true reflection of what locals and visitors love most about this city. From local gems and family-run businesses to historic Naperville staples, we would love for everyone to get on board and send us recommendations of their favorite places around town - Top Trumps representative Lindsay Wallace, per NBC 5 Chicago

In addition to incorporating a customized Community Chest, Chance playing cards, and Monopoly money designed after the city itself, the Naperville Edition will also reference local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and landmarks in the city.

How to Submit Businesses and More for Consideration in the Game:

Public submissions for the upcoming Naperville Edition of Monopoly can be sent naperville@toptrumps.com, or on the game's website. Selections will be going through March 6th, 2026, with early submissions having "the highest chance of claiming a spot," per NBC 5 Chicago.

The game is set for release in the fall of 2026, and be sold at Barnes & Noble, Amazon, online, and at various Naperville retailers. Find out more about the upcoming release of the Naperville Edition of Monopoly on NBC 5 Chicago's website.

Small Town Iowa: Road Trip to Pella - Photos

When you mention Pella, most people say "they have all the tulips right?" Where that would be correct, there is so much more to this town. Pella is also home to two manufacturing companies, a college, the largest working windmill in the U.S. and it's the boyhood home of the legendary Wyatt Earp. Now, let's go on a virtual tour of this excellent example of picturesque small-town Iowa.
