Former Hawkeye Cooper DeJean in the Middle of Spicy Dating Rumors

I tend to avoid any discourse about celebrity dating rumors like the plague. As much as I love movies, sports, music, and the people behind them, I couldn't care less who they court, DM, sleep with, etc. I got my own romantic life to prioritize; I pay no mind to whose car is parked next door.

That said, a recent dating rumor, while speculative, also has sweet undertones, and involves a former Iowa Hawkeye who has become a fan-favorite and a star in his own right following a pivotal play in the Super Bowl coupled with his magnetic personality.

Cooper DeJean Spotted with a WWE Star:

This week, the 22-year-old Cooper DeJean, who plays corner for the Philadelphia Eagles, was spotted with WWE star Nikki Garcia amid her recent trip to Philly. This week on her Instagram, Garcia posted a roundup of photos of her adventures to Philly, which included her smiling and posing in front of the star player's locker.

DeJean and Garcia were also seen dancing in the montage, scored to Alex Warren's popular song "Ordinary:" "So blessed for the people around me, new friends and old, who make life so special and fun ✨,” read the caption, per People Magazine.

Six months ago, Garcia returned to WWE at 42-years-old following a publicized divorce from Artem Chigvintsev, a Russian dancer. The two have a five-year-old son together. She told People Magazine during that time that she plans to share her love of wrestling with her son as he grows up:

I definitely will be bringing him to stuff because I really want him to see me in that light and see what I’ve done for 16 years and I want him to be a part of it. I want to raise not only a gentleman, but someone who looks at women and sees how strong and empowering they are and honors that - Nikki Garcia, per People Magazine

If Garcia and DeJean are in fact together, much will be made about the 20-year age-gap between the two stars in their respective sports. No less, whatever it ends up being, Garcia's post was adorable, and DeJean is having a hell of a sophomore campaign with the Eagles, who remain one of the top teams in the NFL.
