There is something different about spending a weekend listening to live music on a family farm. Add local art, food, camping, and activities for the kids, and you have the idea behind the 8th Annual Farm Fresh Reggae Music + Arts Festival.

The festival returns to Troy's Farm in Springville on September 18th and 19th, bringing more than 30 musical acts to three stages for two days of music and loads of fun.

Along with the music, visitors can check out art and craft vendors, food vendors and a bar, all while taking part in workshops and activities throughout the weekend. The event is designed for all ages, and children 15 and younger get in free with a guardian.

Camping is optional and is now sold separately from festival passes. Options include tent, car and RV camping, although RV sites were sold out at the time of a recent interview. A new campsite map also allows campers to reserve their specific spot in the yard.

The festival has been held at Troy's Farm for eight years and has grown gradually with support from the community and sponsors. Gates open at noon Friday and 10 AM Saturday. On-site parking is available, and the festival is rain or shine. Organizers recommend lawn chairs or blankets, sthunscreen, bug spray and reusable water bottles. Pets, outside alcohol, glass, weapons, drones, campfires and other prohibited items are not allowed.

Whether visitors come for the music, the activities, the vendors, or simply a weekend outdoors, Farm Fresh Reggae offers a chance to slow down and enjoy something a little different close to home.
