Wisconsin Pizza Place Named Among Top Five Best By Guy Fieri

The king has spoken! It's no secret that Guy Fieri has tried just about everything over the years.

His hit show Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives has been on for fifty-one seasons. Yes, really! That's pretty impressive. It's safe to say he's tried just about everything.

That's why, when he talks about a specific restaurant or gives a particular restaurant a shout out, everyone listens. He's tried it all and he knows what he's talking about.

Well, he recently ranked his top five pizza places in the country based on all of the pizza places he has visited on his Food Network hit - and one of his top choices was in Superior!

A Good Legacy To Leave Behind

This one hurts a little - but is still exciting! The now-closed Shorty's Pizza & Smoked Meat was one of Guy's top choices for pizza in the entire country, out of all the spots he's visited over the course of his show.

Their meat lovers pizza was featured on the show back in the day. It was so good, in fact, that Guy went to Shorty's to film a handful of times!

Shorty's was one of my very favorite restaurants and I am devastated it closed. It looks like Guy loved it just as much as I did.

This Also Calls For A Road Trip

Another important spot also made the top five - a pizzeria in Minneapolis! Guy Fieri has been pretty open about his love for this pizza place, so it's not a huge surprise he named Pizzeria Lola one of the top five pizza places in the country out of all the pizzerias he's visited.

This place must be REALLY good because the featured pizza from the show is a sausage and pepperoni. However, this is clearly not your average pepperoni pizza, which is usually incredible to begin with.

Now that Shorty's is gone, the best way to celebrate this list is to go try one of these sausage and pepperoni pizzas.
