One of the most iconic movie homes of the 1990s has come up for sale only for the second time since the classic was released. Although, if you dare to peek inside the home, you might not recognize the interior from the beloved movie.

The house from Home Alone has been listed on Zillow. The home, located at 671 Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka, roughly 16 miles north of downtown Chicago, is a sprawling, Georgia-style estate built in 1921. It's over 9,000 square-feet in size, and although the interior is markedly different than it was when Kevin McCallister defended the property from two goons trying to break in, there is still quite a bit of room for hijinks and booby traps (sold separately).

Home Alone hardly needs an introduction. It was the breakout role for Macaulay Culkin, who played eight-year-old Kevin, who was forced to fend for himself after his family accidentally left him behind for a holiday vacation.

But his own self-supervised sabbatical of junk food and indoor sledding is interrupted when he hears burglars (Daniel Stern, Joe Pesci) trying to break in the home. Cue plucky little Kevin trying to arm the house with makeshift traps to foil the burglars' plans.

Growing up outside of Chicago, I've always loved how the Home Alone house has a distinctly Chicago aesthetic. Alas, as things always do, the home has been renovated and expanded as of 2018, although "the integrity of the home's most memorable and recognizable spaces" has been maintained, per the Zillow listing by the Dawn McKenna Group:

The residence itself is a masterpiece of traditional style with an effortlessly flowing floorplan brimming with warmth, character, and exquisitely crafted detail. Fully renovated and expanded in 2018, the current owners took the utmost care in maintaining the architectural detail and integrity of the home's most memorable and recognizable spaces. - per the Zillow listing by the Dawn McKenna Group

Inside the home is a movie theater, a hot tub, and an indoor basketball court. Fans of Home Alone had the opportunity to rent the home for one-night-only for only $25 back in 2021. Dwellers could eat Chicago-style pizza and indulge in Kraft Macaroni & Cheese just like Kevin did when his parents left.

Even LEGO created a model of the iconic home, complete with figurines of Kevin and the "Wet Bandit" burglars. That, along with The Simpsons house, has been on my LEGO wishlist for years.

If you're interested in the home, it will set you back nothing short of $5.25 million. For more photos and information on the home, visit the Zillow listing.
