Dubuque’s Riverview Park Provides Spectacular Views & Affordable Camping
The Mississippi Valley is as reposeful as a dreamland, nothing worldly about it...nothing to hang a fret or a worry upon."
― Mark Twain, Life on the Mississippi
Life along the Mississippi River remains as Twain described it 139 years ago. While the river and the towns lining its bank may be tamer today than in Twain's time, there remains a calming allure to resting on the riverbank and watching it flow.
Dubuque's City-owned and operated 20-acre Miller Riverview Park and Campground is one of the best places to relax and enjoy the mighty Mississippi.

With escalating costs to camp, Miller Riverview Park remains a relative bargain at $20 for a site with electrical hookup and $15 without electricity.
The camping season typically runs from mid-April through the fourth Sunday in October. Of course, weather and river level may alter the schedule, but it's a safe bet that the summer months will see a steady stream of campers.
Campsite reservations are required and should be made online before your arrival.
A few early season campers shared that they were impressed with the campground facilities, views, and prices for such a spectacular scenic riverfront location within City limits.
One couple traveling from Arizona to Wisconsin said their campground rating is 10 out of 10 for the sensational view and tranquility.
