Applications are available online at cityofdubuque.org/housing and at the Housing and Community Development Department. They are also available upon request by calling 563-589-4230 or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org. To apply for the waiting list, applicants will need the full names, social security numbers, and dates of birth for all household members. Only one application is permitted per household, per enrollment period.
In addition, all applications received will be entered into a lottery drawing for placement on the waiting list. Those selected will receive a letter informing them they have been chosen. Applicants not selected for the waiting list in the lottery are deleted and must reapply with each open waiting list to be eligible for the next lottery drawing.
The Housing Choice Voucher Program provides rental assistance for income-eligible households. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) sets income limits that determine eligibility for assisted housing programs, including the Housing Choice Voucher program. A link to the HUD income limits is available on the City’s website at cityofdubuque.org/HCV.
