With the mid-August completion of Dubuque’s first modern traffic roundabout  approaching, the City of Dubuque is offering residents two additional opportunities to learn about navigating roundabouts and to ask questions they may have.

The public is invited to attend one of two public meetings at 11:15 a.m. or 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at the Hartig Drug Conference Room in the lower level of Hartig Drug at 1600 University Ave.  Attendees should use the entrance on the northeast corner of the building.  Informational material will be displayed and City engineering staff and project consultants will give presentations on how roundabouts function and how motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists should safely navigate the roundabout at the N. Grandview Ave./Delhi St./Grace St. intersection.

These meetings are the final presentations scheduled for the general public before the project is scheduled to be completed.  City staff made presentations to Lincoln Elementary School and Senior High School students last spring and are working with Washington Middle School staff to give presentations to those students shortly after school resumes in August.
