Chingy caught a lot of people off guard with his recent ringing endorsement of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Now, the "Right Thurr" rapper is reneging on his comments.

On Friday (Jan. 22), the St. Louis MC sent out the tweet, "Politics vs society. People should innerstand that politics is a business jus like the job you work at. I vote for @realDonaldTrump "YEP" 3." Followed by, "@realDonaldTrump knows how to conduct business. This country is a business an needs to be ran by a businessman. It's not personal people!"

Needless to say, he was hanged out dry in the court of social media shortly after. Now, after seeing the error in his ways (aka actually doing some research on Donald Trump's racist rhetoric), he is making it known that he is no longer a fan of The Donald.

In a video titled "I DO NOT endorse Donald Trump" (above), Chingy tries to explain that he wasn't fully aware of Trump's ideals. According to Chingy, his Twitter comments were based solely off an article he read which marked some of the business ideas Trump had for the country. “I didn’t know about some of the negative things he had to say about some of the races out here and about the hip-hop community,” Chingy says in the video. “I didn’t know a lot of the negative things, I was kind of commenting off reading that article and reading some of the good things that he said, so that’s kind of where my comments came from.”

In the video, he also thanks fans for making him aware of Trump's dirty deeds. Each one teach one, we guess.
