This Beer Directly Supports Farmers in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin
A popular beer brand, which in recent years has positioned themselves as quintessentially American and supportive of family farmers, is back with farmer-centric branding and a renewed mission to keep the backbone of America thriving.
Last summer, the brand launched limited edition "corn" cans as a way not only to honor the indispensable crop that serves as a key ingredient for their brews, but to remind folks how instrumental farmers are to their operation. This year, their new limited edition can is more all-encompassing in design and scale.

A Tall, Frosty Cold One with a Mission:
Once again this year, Busch Light is honoring American farmers and ranchers with a limited edition "For the Farmers" can. The can features cornfields, a barn, and an eagle, all staple images that come to mind when people think of family farm operations.
Per The Des Moines Register, for the first time, Busch Light earned the U.S. Farmed certification from the American Farmland Trust. That means that at least 95% of the agricultural ingredients used to make the beer were grown in the United States. Branding is easy to manipulate. That certification needs to be earned.
How Busch Light Helps Farmers in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin:
For every case of "For the Farmers"-branded Busch Light that sells, Anheuser-Busch will be donating 10 cents (up to $200,000) to Farm Rescue. They're a nonprofit dedicated to providing material aid to family farms and ranches across the Midwest," per The Des Moines Register. Farm Rescue has been a partner of Busch's for years.
Since their partnership, Busch Light has helped Farm Rescue raise nearly $1.5 million in donations that support farming communities in a barrage of states, including:
- North Dakota
- South Dakota
- Minnesota
- Montana
- Wisconsin
- Iowa
- Illinois
- Nebraska
- Kansas
- Kentucky
What Does Farm Rescue Do for Farmers?:
Per The Des Moines Register, Farm Rescue provides assistance for farmers when they face obstacles, be it injury, illness, or natural disasters. Should the operators of a farm encounter these challenges, Farm Rescue aids by providing planting, harvesting, and livestock feeding assistance. Their nonprofit model is predicated on volunteers, and you can find more about volunteer opportunities on Farm Rescue's website.
American farmers account for less than 1% of our population, but they are responsible for feeding the entire country. Our local farms are crucial to our nation’s food supply, but they are in dire need of our support. We’re so grateful for the support of like-minded partners like Busch Light - Tim Sullivan, Executive Director for Farm Rescue, per The Des Moines Register
You can find Busch Light "For the Farmers" cans on grocery store shelves starting in July 2025. For more information, visit The Des Moines Register's website. Find out more about Farm Rescue on their website.
