Barker Lake Lodge was built in 1929 by the famous Joe Saltis. Saltis, pictured below, was a a Joliet saloon keeper and bootlegger, referred to as "Polack Joe." Saltis spent an estimated $100,000 into building this rustic two-story cedar log lodge, cabins and nine-hole golf course. Located Near Al Capone's Hideout.

2. Dillman's Bay Resort in Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin
Today Dillman's Bay Resort features many different cabins, lake homes, condos, and even hotel rooms to stay at, BUT Cabin 5, better known as the Fisherman's Cabin, is where Baby Face Nelson stayed after he escaped the FBI shootout at the Little Bohemia Lodge.
