The Dubuque Regional Humane Society is excited to introduce this week’s Pet of the Week: Clarke! This sweet 7-year-old pup who is currently in foster care and patiently waiting for his forever home. Weighing just 20 pounds, Clarke is a gentle little guy who may be shy at first, but once he feels comfortable, he quickly becomes the ultimate lap dog.

Sure, he can be a bit shy, but despite his calm nature Clarke has a playful side. He’s a big fan of squeaky toys and a good game of fetch, chasing after the ball with determination. Even snowy weather can't slow him down. Clarke does well with other dogs and especially enjoys the company of lower-energy canine friends who are happy to relax and enjoy a peaceful routine together.

Clarke would do best in a quiet home without children, as he can be nervous around kids. A calm environment where he can feel safe, loved, and understood will allow his sweet personality to truly shine. He is incredibly deserving of a forever family who will give him the stability and affection he’s been patiently waiting for.

If Clarke sounds like the perfect addition to your home, appointments are required to meet him.
