Popular Pet Food Brand Recalled in Wisconsin for Serious Health Risks
It's been a year chockful of recalls across the board. A couple weeks ago, 10,000 cans of Coca-Cola were recalled due to the possible presence of plastic in the affected cans. Nestlé USA also recently issued a recall of Lean Cuisine and Stouffer's frozen meals due to the potential for a wood-like material/substance present in the meals. Per Nestlé USA's website, the recall is isolated to a limited quantity of the following items:
- Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli
- Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Ravioli
- Lean Cuisine Lemon Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry
- Stouffer's Party Size Chicken Lasagna

Now, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has announced a voluntary recall of a popular brand of kitten and puppy food following a complaint from a customer who said their pet became ill after eating it. After subsequent testing, the pet food was found to have salmonella and listeria.
The recall impacts several states, including Wisconsin:
- Virginia
- Maryland
- Pennsylvania
- Connecticut
- Massachusetts
- New York State
- Tennessee
- Rhode Island
- Wisconsin
