Finding a new amusement park is a great joy for kids and their families, but how about an amusement park that is practically located in the middle of nowhere, off the coast of one Iowa's most beautiful nooks?

That description fits Arnolds Park Amusement Park, located off the coast of Lake Okoboji, IA, which was recently named the most beautiful lake in the state. Arnolds Amusement Park is a large park home to towering rollercoasters, a Ferris wheel, and a variety of attractions that are sure to keep people entertained.

Arnolds Park Amusement Park resides in the middle of a natural land area, which is over 130 years old. The creator of the park, W. B. Arnold, wanted the park to be sustainable for families to enjoy for generations, per Kebony's website. It's been a reliable force for the local Iowa Great Lakes economy.

The park is also the centerpiece of the Imagine Iowa Great Lakes' Beautification initiative. Arnolds Park State Pier offers walkers a beautiful view of nature via the sidewalk of Preservation Plaza, as well as a connecting boardwalk made of Kebony wood.

For kids, there are rides such as Freddie the Fish, a Kiddie Coaster and Kiddie Wheel, a dragon ride, a carousel, and more. For families, there's the Tilt-A-Whirl, an octopus ride, a "Tipsy House," a swinging ride, bumper cars, and a Ferris Wheel, to name a few attractions.

Finally, for thrill-seekers, there's the Legend Roller Coaster, a log flume ride, the Mad Mouse, and the Rock-O-Plane, all of which look high-energy.

There's also a wealth of shopping to be done, with a books/gifts store, a museum gift shop, clothing company, caricature portraits, and more businesses all located near the park.
