Wisconsin Among States Where Popular Energy Drink Has Been Recalled
Check your fridge! Wisconsin is one of a handful of states where a recall has been issued for a popular energy drink.
While some might laugh off the reason for this recall, it can be an issue for a sizable part of the public.
This recall only applies to beverages distributed and sold in a handful of states, including Wisconsin.
Here's what you need to know.
What drink has been recalled?
Certain cans of the popular energy drink CELSIUS are being recalled because what you'd expect to get is not what is in the can.
Certain cans of the CELSIUS Astro Vibe Energy Drink, Sparkling Blue Razz Edition, don't contain the energy drink. Instead, they contain High Noon alcoholic seltzer.

The recall, as explained by the FDA, is officially issued for the 12-packs of High Noon Beach Variety Packs that could contain these mislabeled drinks, but people should be on the lookout otherwise as well if they have any cans of this flavor of CELSIUS drink.
Like I said before, some people might just laugh this recall off. Unknowingly drinking an alcoholic beverage (or giving it to someone underage, for example) can be a real problem, however.
That's the reason for the recall.

The specific CELSIUS Astro Vibe, Sparkling Blue Razz Edition containers have the following markings and lot codes on them:
CELSIUS UPC: 8 89392 00134 1
L CCB 02JL25 2:55 to L CCB 02JL25 3:11
The good news is that, apparently, most of these mislabeled beverages were packaged inside High Noon Beach Variety Packs. That said, they'd stand out among a package of what were otherwise alcoholic drinks.
So no, it isn't some kind of weird cross-promotion. If you see one of these CELSIUS cans in your High Noon box, it is a mispackaged product.
It is worth noting that High Noon is saying it is possible that some of these CELSIUS cans may have been distributed somewhere other than in those High Noon 12-pack boxes, so it is still a good idea to check the UPC and lot numbers seen on the can above.
Customers are being advised to dispose of these impacted products and should contact High Noon Consumer Relations at consumerrelations@highnoonvodka.com to get more information on next steps, including refunds.
