According to a story on TH Online, Dubuque will soon be back to having 2 movie theater options.
According to today's press release, A Michigan-based company will reopen the former Mindframe Theaters. Phoenix Theatres plans to reopen the six-screen movie theater this spring, with a grand opening event slated for March. The new theater will feature reclining seats and all-new digital projection equipment.
Phoenix Theatres was formed in 2000, with "the idea of refurbishing closed theatres in viable retail areas," according to the release. The company also owns theaters in Wayne, Mich., Livonia, Mich., and Monroe, Mich., according to the Phoenix Theatres website.
Mindframe Theaters closed on Jan. 1. It had opened in 2008.
