Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters hits theaters in just five months, and while we’ve seen plenty of photos and toys based on the upcoming film, we’ve yet to see any actual footage. That sort of changes today, as Sony has released an announcement trailer featuring the first glimpse of footage (it’s quite foreboding) along with the promise of a real, honest-to-goodness trailer…in March.

If you’re like me, you thought that perhaps Sony would surprise us with the first trailer during last night’s SNL with Melissa McCarthy appearing alongside two of her three fellow Ghostbusters — Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. But Kristen Wiig didn’t drop by for the episode, and the night came an went with no Ghostbusters trailer, much less a reference to the film at all.

The above teaser arrived this morning, and features a little bit of footage — it’s mostly just a bunch of police and military guys preparing to face something mysterious and ominous, with the classic tagline “Who ya gonna call?” Following in the strange, recent trend of “announcement trailers,” this one promises that we’ll see the actual trailer on March 3. That’s a few weeks away, which makes this announcement trailer a bit strange.

Ghostbusters stars McCarthy, Jones, McKinnon and Wiig as the titular heroes, with Chris Hemsworth as their receptionist, and cameos from original stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson, along with Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts. The film also stars Cecily Strong, Michael K. Williams, Andy Garcia, Matt Walsh, Neil Casey and Charles Dance, and hits theaters on July 15.
