The Hunts, Indie-Folk Band

‌Known for their harmony-laced take on alt-folk, The Hunts are a Chesapeake, Virginia-based band of seven siblings who’ve been playing music together almost their entire lives. Twin sisters and five brothers, now ranging in age from 26 down to 17, have played theaters, festivals and universities around the country—playing diverse instruments like mandolin, piano, ukulele, banjo, and drums. Inspired by shared memories, The Hunts create songs that capture heartache and wonder with a wide-eyed but wistful elegance. The Hunts’ original songs tap into each member’s unique strengths while remaining intensely collaborative. While getting seven strong-minded siblings to agree on every last note and lyric can sometimes be chaotic, The Hunts insist that the synergy born from that chaos is what makes the band’s music so infectious.

A free Cyber Café Knapp Stage Pre-Show Concert featuring Driftless Sisters accompanies this performance from 6:00-7:00 p.m.  Driftless Sisters are an indie folk duo from the driftless hills of Galena, IL.
