Dubuque residents and stakeholders are invited to participate in the Imagine Dubuque “Treat + Greet” event on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 5:30 p.m. in Washington Park, 700 Locust St. “Treat + Greet” is the final community event focused on gathering and refining input as part of the City of Dubuque’s Comprehensive Planning process, entitled “Imagine Dubuque.”

Imagine Dubuque is the next step in creating a more sustainable, resilient, inclusive and equitable legacy for Dubuque. The Comprehensive Plan serves as a guide for the community’s physical, social and economic development. It is a key tool to developing policy, informing the city budget, and community initiatives. Imagine Dubuque is designed to further the momentum to create a more viable, livable, and equitable community. Paramount to this effort is community input.

The City of Dubuque’s new draft Comprehensive Plan was created from over 12,000 ideas and insights shared by residents who “Imagined Dubuque.”  At the “Treat + Greet” event, the draft plan will be available for community discussion, with large boards of the various plan chapters displayed for review and comment. This event is an opportunity to learn about and comment on the next step towards defining Dubuque’s future.

Complimentary refreshments will be provided for attendees. RSVPs are not required, but are appreciated. Residents are encouraged to RSVP today at http://imaginedubuque.com/rsvp.
