Just yesterday, 'Batman vs. Superman' director Zack Snyder took to Twitter to entice fans with a teaser image of the new (and hopefully improved) batmobile coming in his 'Man of Steel' sequel with the promise of a full reveal coming soon. Now the time has come and we got more than we bargained for -- we've got our first look at Ben Affleck as The Dark Knight AND his new vehicle.

While Snyder previously shot scenes for 'Batman vs. Superman' involving a college football game between Metropolis and Gotham, the film enters principal photography this week with its main cast, including Ben Affleck as the new Bruce Wayne/Batman. While he's no Christian Bale, you can see the influences from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns comic book, which was previously revealed as an inspiration for the forthcoming film.

'Batman vs. Superman' costume designer Michael Wilkinson also stated over Twitter recently that the official costume for Wonder Woman would also be revealed soon.

'Batman vs. Superman' (which, by the way, is still an unofficial title) stars Henry Cavill (returning as Clark Kent/Superman), Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Ray Fisher (Victor Stone/Cyborg), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Jeremy Irons (Alfred), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Diane Lane (Mrs. Kent). Snyder will follow up the film with a 'Justice League' movie, which will gather some of DC Comics' most famous superheroes for an onscreen 'Avengers'-like team-up.

'Batman vs. Superman' will hit theaters May 6, 2016.
